Rachelle Netland

I am a Minnesota-based studio artist creating large-scale paintings that bring together expressive abstraction and material exploration. Through intuitive, layered processes and gestural mark-making, I explore transformation, memory, and self-discovery, using atmosphere and landscape as metaphors for inner experience. I hold a B.S. in Mass Communications and a B.F.A. in 2D Studies from St. Cloud State University, as well as an M.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design (2022). My work is held in academic and private collections in the United States and France. I create my paintings in my rural Minnesota studio and offer them for sale in my gallery space in Studio 219 of the Casket Arts Building.
