Mary Simon-Casati

I create mixed media paintings, sculptures and installations through the process of distilling and abstracting fleeting experiences that are not easily defined, but nonetheless sensed. I love exploring how things work and expressing those ideas in the art I create. Using paint, paper, wood, glass, light, shadow and handmade tools, my work implies a place, holds an experience, and draws attention to the complexity of unseen forces.
