Keith Miesel

Keith Miesel specializes in deeply felt portraiture in a number of genres, as well as photography of art objects such as paintings, sculpture and jewelry. He believes a successful photograph results from a deep understanding of the needs of the client, so the process starts with discussion, idea generation and collaboration well before picking up a camera. He takes inspiration from fashion, cinema, classical paintings, graphic novels and the masters of the craft such as Hurrell, Penn, Karsh, Leibowitz and Avedon. His work has been seen in MN State Fair Fine Arts, Northwoods Friends of the Arts Gallery, Minneapolis Photo Center, and Jimmy Wilson Gallery, among other venues. Keith is a member of Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association.
