Brendan Kramp

I am a Minneapolis-based artist primarily working in oil. I focus on depicting spaces with a strong sense of space, atmosphere, and mood, often with bright or dramatic lighting. I'm interested in investigating the emotional resonance of spaces that we occupy, and the everyday moments that build our lives. My paintings range from depicting cafes to domestic scenes to cityscapes, art studios, and outdoor scenes and landscapes. I travel often and always bring a camera and sketchpad to capture potential new subjects for a painting. I exhibition nationally, traveling to art fairs or markets, and open my studio regularly in the Casket for major events in the neighborhood.
